Were it not for the hand of the Lord,
I could not stand.
Were it not for His lovingkindness and compassion,
My heart would melt within me,
and I would be consumed by my grief.

Were it not for the Master's guidance,
I would be blind.
Were it not for His tender words,
the beauty and warmth in hugs and smiles
would fade,
as I reach further into myself.
